My email list is growing and I need an email marketing solution to help me manage it going forward. I’ve limited my search down to Mailchimp and Constant Contact and I’m hoping someone can tell me what the main difference is? It looks like I can get started with Mailchimp for about $10 cheaper a month, but I want to make sure I’m not missing anything important with Constant Contact.
You are right on the “money” with your first observation, for up to users, Mailchimp is currently Free for up to 2,000 subscribers and 12,000 emails a month, whereas Constant Contact would be $45 a month for 2,000 users! For most small businesses, that right there should be enough to sway your decision. The usability of the two services is going to be different, but at the end of the day, what your reader sees will be very similar. Without a doubt, Constant Contact is the bigger company with more users, but I’d recommend getting started with Mailchimp’s Free Plan and see how you like it. I urge you to read our Email Marketing Service Reviews to learn more about these two services and other.
