How can I add a descriptor to the browser SSL icon for my site?

I just noticed this in Chrome, Fool.com, for example, is able to change “Secure” to their site name. Is there a way for a site owner with an SSL certificate to influence this?

Great question. I asked our web developer about this, and he said “This requires an Extended Evaluation SSL Certificate. In addition to providing the secure socket layer transfer, these certificates validate the identity of the website owner. These are the most expensive certificates you can get. I believe they run in the $300-$500 per year per site price range.”
