My ipad (2nd Gen) won’t turn on

I have a generation 2 iPad and it stops charging all together. Whenever I plug it into the charger (same charger I’ve always used) the black screen with the battery with a small red sliver starts to blink like it’s charging but even after keeping to plugged in overnight it still won’t turn on. Just says to plug into the wall. The charger is working fine, is my iPad completely shot now? Is it possible to replace the battery? It was working perfectly fine before.

Sorry to hear you are having issues with your iPad. I might try doing a forced restart with it (hold down the power button on the top and the home button for 10 seconds). If that doesn’t work, then it might be the actual battery that you’ll need to replace but it could be under warranty. Might want to schedule an appointment with Apple just to be safe. Good luck!

One other thing you might try is using the larger cube (not the square block) and an Apple certified iPad charger cord (not the cheap ones you buy from the gas station). iPads require more juice than iPhones so the charger must be able to supply ample power to charge it up.
