Thrive Leads is a powerful lead capture WordPress (WP) plugin that offers most of the advanced features you’ll need. One of its biggest selling points is that it’s a one-time fee for life. New users may find the editing tools and user interface a bit complicated to navigate, mainly because of the volume of what you can do with Thrive Leads.

Thrive Leads also stands out for its analytics — you can generate 9 different reports analyzing everything from where your leads are coming from to tracking opt-in performance over specific times. Its advanced A/B split testing allows you to test different types of forms against each other.

  • Huge variety of opt-in form types and advanced campaign triggers
  • Two-step opt-in forms, which let you create visitor-triggered forms

Other Email Capture & Lead Generation Software Reviews

LeadPages | OptiMonk

LeadPages Review

LeadPages differs from other software we’ve reviewed here. Technically it’s a landing page creator, but LeadPages also allows you to create opt-in and other types of popups to sign on new subscribers and drive conversions. LeadPages is a top-rated, industry-leading software.

The Standard plan, however, lacks features and functionality, so you’ll need to upgrade to get A/B testing, popup forms, advanced integrations, live chat support and more. At $48 per month (annual price), the Pro plan is a competitive price, especially for getting unlimited websites and traffic. LeadPages offers a 14-day free trial, so give them a try.

  • Unlimited websites and site traffic with all plans
  • Easy-to-use drag-and-drop builder
  • Built-in Facebook ad builder
  • Integrates with Google Analytics, Zapier and all the major CMS, EMSPs and ecommerce platforms
  • Users say tech support is very knowledgeable
  • $100 Google Adwords credits with all plans
  • Pricey if you want all the features and integrations
  • Must upgrade to get live chat and phone support
  • Email ticket system response is slow
  • Some customers say the funneling capability is too rigid
  • No money back guarantee

LeadPages offers a 14-day free trial. All plans come with unlimited websites and traffic/subscribers.

OptiMonk Review

Optimonk logo

Visit Website

OptiMonk’s standout features are its excellent tech support and integrations.  Other than that, OptiMonk falls short compared to our top picks. Although it has a good variety of pop-ups and opt-in form types, customization is limited (unless you use custom CSS).

This software also doesn’t provide as many triggers as other software (but it does have exit intent technology). On top of these limitations, OptiMonk is way too expensive for what you get. However, they do offer some great tools for ecommerce and integrate with Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento and PrestaShop. You can try out OptiMonk with their 14-day free trial.

  • Easy to use
  • Good variety of opt-in form types and popups
  • Powerful split A/B testing
  • Integrates with Google Analytics and all the major CMS, EMSPs and ecommerce platforms
  • Their tech support gets excellent reviews
  • Expensive
  • Caps on number of visitors per month with all plans
  • Fewer trigger types and advanced targeting options than other software
  • Limited templates and built-in customization
  • Analytics could be more extensive
  • Must pay $399/month to remove OptiMonk branding
  • No money-back guarantee

OptiMonk offers a 14-day free trial. You also get 20% off the following prices if you pay annually.

Price Per Month (Monthly)$29$59$99$199$399
