LINKCheetah Review

Visit Website

If you’re looking for backlink analysis but can’t afford Ahrefs, our top choice for backlink SEO research, LINKCheetah is a solid alternative. Although it’s relatively new on the SEO scene, it’s getting great reviews so far — and its monthly cost is far less than Ahrefs. But, you get less, too.

Unlike Ahrefs, however, LINKCheetah is solely a backlink analysis tool. LINKCheetah is reliable for what it gives you, and if backlink research is all you need, it’s worth considering. Otherwise, you may want to look elsewhere.

  • Get instant notifications when you gain or lose backlinks to your website
  • Ensures that Google has your backlinks referenced
  • Updates your link data every 24 hours
  • Lacks other SEO tools, including keyword research & tracking, competitor analysis, etc.

Here is a screenshot of LINKCheetah:

LINKCheetah offers a 14-day free trial. You can save 25% off of the following prices if you pay annually. All plans include all of its features.

  • $49/month for 500 domains
  • $79/month for 2,500 domains
  • $129/month for 5,000 domains
  • $199/month for $10,000 domains

SE Ranking Review

SE Ranking’s main strength is keyword rank tracking, but it also includes website and on-page SEO auditing. With SE Ranking, you can see how your competitor’s keywords rank compared to yours. It’s an affordable alternative to Authority Labs, our #1 pick for keyword tracking, but it’s not quite as powerful. Still, SE Ranking gets excellent user reviews for its ease of use, accuracy and features and is a great option for small businesses.

  • User-friendly interface
  • Good competitor analysis
  • Includes site auditing and a backlink checker
  • Google Analytics integration
  • Custom reports and white labeling
  • Positive user reviews for ease of use and tech support
  • UI isn’t optimized for mobile use
  • Social media management only includes Facebook and Twitter

SEOBook Review

SEO Book logoVisit Website

IMPORTANT NOTE: This SEO service is currently closed to new members, and there’s no pricing information. We are unclear on whether this product is still for sale or supported. We do not recommend signing up at this time.

SEOBook, owned and operated by SEO guru Aaron Wall, is slightly different than all of the other offerings in this comparison. Wall’s business started in 2003 with one of the most successful SEO books in history and then transitioned his efforts into an online SEO course.

The course is geared towards novice marketers — it claims that you are hiring your own personal SEO expert when you pay for its service. At $300 a month, the cost isn’t cheap, but if you’ve made it this far in the article and you’re completely overwhelmed by the content, a personal SEO expert might not be a bad move.

Once you join, you get personal interaction, but SEOBook also has its own proprietary tools like a keyword suggestion tool, keyword list generator, keyword ranker and competitive analysis.

  • Personal interaction
  • Community forums to ask questions
  • Free tools for anyone to use – we found the keyword density tool to be very useful
  • Not currently available for new user signups
  • Expensive
  • Tools are not as advanced as other services

Here is a look at one of the SEOBooks’ tools:

SEOBook does not have a free trial, but it does offer prorated refunds.

SEO PowerSuite Review

SEO PowerSuite logoVisit Website

SEO PowerSuite is a bundle of some powerful, professional SEO tools: Rank Tracker, SEO SpyGlass, WebSite Auditor and LinkAssistant. It offers a free version that has a ton of features, but you can’t save any of your projects.

To get the most out of SEO PowerSuite, you must first pay a one-time fee for the software license and then pay a monthly fee for Search Algo updates — these keep your software in line with search engines’ changing algorithms and let you store projects in SEO PowerSuite Cloud.

  • Excellent SEO Spyglass tool gives you in-depth backlinks research, analysis and anti-penalty link audits
  • Rank Tracker can harness keywords from Google webmaster tools, Google Trends and Google Analytics
  • Only one user per software license
  • Some users report slow speeds with larger amounts of data
  • Doesn’t have a central dashboard for all 4 tools

Here is a look at the SEO PowerSuite interface:

SEO Power Suite Screenshot

SEO PowerSuite offers a free version  — a fantastic way to try out most of its robust features. All editions include unlimited websites and keywords. It offers deep discounts on its monthly Search Algo subscription if you pay annually or every two or three years. They also offer a 30-day money back guarantee on any license.

Professional Edition

  • $299 Professional License (one-time fee)
  • $8.33/month Search Algo subscription

Enterprise Edition

  • $699 Enterprise License (one-time fee)
  • $19.95/month Search Algo subscription

You also have the option to purchase each tool separately. Individual pricing is the same for Rank Tracker, SEO SpyGlass, LinkAssistant and WebSite Auditor.

  • $124.75 each: Individual Professional Tool (one-time fee)
  • $299.75 each: Individual Enterprise Tool (one-time fee)

Keyword.com Review

Keyword.com logoVisit Website

Keyword.com (formerly SerpBook) is a keyword rank tracker that has a similar approach to that of AuthorityLabs in that it focuses on keyword rank checking. They provide local and global rank tracking of the top 100 results for Google Mobile, Google Desktop, Google Local Maps and YouTube. You can choose a plan (number of trackable keywords) for either bi-hourly updates or daily updates (these happen automatically) and get a discount with an annual subscription.

We use them in addition to Semrush (our primary SEO platform) for quick alerts when one of our top terms has a significant ranking change. They have an API you can use to really leverage the power of the platform.

Pro Tip: Track Google Mobile To Cover Desktop Rankings Also

Keyword.com gives you the option to track both Google Mobile and Google Desktop results. But since Google recently announced a mobile first index (rankings for both desktop and mobile results are based on the mobile index now, not the desktop index), you really only need to track Google Mobile, regardless of which traffic source is the primary driver behind visitors to your site. This saves you from using 2 credits to track each keyword.

  • Unlimited tracking of keyword rankings history (charts)
  • Create view keys (open or password protected) to share with your team
  • API to manage and process data
  • Manual keyword refreshes to instantly get updated rankings
  • Keyword alerts that update bi-hourly or daily
  • Note tracking so you can annotate internal changes to your sites
  • Easy to understand charts to see your rankings on specific days
  • Grouping by category and sub-categories
  • In our experience, the historical numbers are not that accurate nor up to date
  • If you rank for the same term across multiple URL’s, Keyword.com only shows the top URL
  • Pulls search volume from Google Adwords Keyword Planner, which is not always accurate
  • Your keyword allocation only counts once for each tracker, so if you want to track Mobile, Desktop, Maps, and Youtube, the same keyword will use up 4 credits

Here’s a look at Keyword.com’s dashboard:
