Businesses and individuals alike spend too much money on printing, faxing and filing papers. Not only are you paying for those services but if you have a business, you’re also paying for someone to do those tasks. And, don’t get me started on how much paper ends up in the recycling centers, shredders and landfills! Instead, you could use secure, legally binding e-signature software. Why not since electronic signature software can also get most documents signed faster? It takes far less time than printing signing and either scanning or faxing your documents, saves money, and it’s even better for the environment!
What’s the Best Service to Sign Documents Online?
Choosing a winner for this article was difficult. Not only is there very little customer feedback but ultimately, these services do the exact same thing. The biggest difference was pricing and we didn’t feel we could recommend one esignature software product over the others completely. So instead, we’ve recommended products for certain situations. See our list below.
- If price is your main concern, we’d recommend SignNow
- If you’re looking for a company that is used by many, we’d recommend DocuSign
- If you want a company with a big name behind it, take a look at EchoSign
- If you want to try a free subscription to get a feel for the software, try HelloSign
- If you don’t want to mess with downloads or plug-ins, we suggest RightSignature

What Are Your Opinions?
In 1999, the government passed the ESIGN Act and UETA laws which required electronic signatures be accepted. It took some work to get the apps and e-signature software where they are today but now they are simple to use and more time efficient. As we mentioned above, finding information that distinguished these esign software apart from one another was a difficult task. So, if you’ve used any of these e-signature solutions, please share your feedback with us!
