We’ve taken several factors into account when making our recommendations, including the ability to match qualified applicants to your job posting, management tools, resume searches, pricing, customer service and more.
Indeed.com is one of the best free job posting sites for employers, and its paid plans give you several tools to recruit talented candidates. With over 180 million unique visitors per month and a huge resume database, Indeed is the place for job seekers and employers to match up.
Indeed’s resume search tool lets you filter for multiple factors, including education level, salary range, title, work experience and more. And users say Indeed’s UI makes it easy to post jobs, manage multiple postings and applications. Indeed is an excellent overall value.
Employers pay only when people click on their “Sponsored Jobs” up to the amount they set for their budget, and you can change your budget at any time.

The world’s most popular social network for professionals, LinkedIn is quickly becoming one of the best sites for employers to post jobs. LinkedIn offers several different products to get your job postings in front of the most qualified candidates.
One of the many benefits of LinkedIn is access to their 500 million professional members. Many of these members may not necessarily be searching for jobs on other boards, so this can be an excellent tool to recruit the top talent in your industry. LinkedIn clients include Zillow, Amazon, Intel and more.

We also encourage you to consider Monster.com and a newer job posting site, ZipRecruiter.
Monster is the second most popular global job posting site behind Indeed, with 35 million unique visitors per month. They offer a wide range of job posting options, software solutions and services for everything from targeted talent recruitment to compliance and reporting.
Unlike Indeed, however, Monster doesn’t prove that bigger is better. We found many complaints from employers that Monster is difficult to navigate and ineffective in providing qualified applicants. Monster’s pricing is also higher than most to get basic job postings and resume searches.
The following prices are per job post. Monster offers sizable discounts for bulk job postings.
- $275 Standard for 30 days
- $299 Enhanced for 30 days
- $499 Premium for 30 days
Resume Search Pricing
- $575 for 1 month to view 300 resumes
- $750 for 2 months to view 600 resumes
- $899 for 3 months to view 900 resumes

ZipRecruiter, launched in 2010 and is a newer, smaller job posting site than our top two picks. But with 4.5 million visitors per month and 8 million job listings, this site is still worth consideration. Its user interface is incredibly easy to use and gives you a lot of filtering options when creating job postings.
ZipRecruiter offers a 4-day free trial for each of the following plans.
- Starter: $249/month for 3 active jobs slots
- Team: $375/month for 10 active job slots
- Company: $576/month for 20 active job slots
- Big Hiring: $752/month for 50 active jobs slots
