SEO
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a fancy word for helping you get higher up in the search engine rankings. The higher up you are, the more people visit your site (assuming there’s people searching for the keywords you’re ranking for).
More technically, SEO optimizes a website’s content and structure so it can be more effectively indexed (found) by search engines. SEO is typically used as an umbrella term to also include SEM (Search Engine Marketing), or promotion of your content once your site is SEO optimized.
Collectively a search marketing campaign includes keyword analysis, competitive analysis, link building, social sharing, content marketing, conversion optimization, and other buzz words that can work together to help you get more traffic to your site. But don’t feel overwhelmed!
Our SEO Series will take you through all this one concept at a time. And we also have expert articles for those already in the know. If you’re new to the game, begin with our What is SEO? article below.
