List of Outgoing SMTP E-Mail Servers

Notebook with outgoing mail serversWe are continually updating the list of outgoing mail servers below based on user requests. The table includes outgoing mail servers from around the globe. If you can’t find your SMTP server in the list below, leave a comment and our team will help you find it. Meanwhile, you should consider skipping the need for an outgoing server altogether, especially if you’re having troubles sending emails.

Problems sending emails?

Are you always on the go between home and work, traveling to different cities, or even different countries? Are you trying unsuccessfully to send emails from your laptop, desktop computer, iPhone or PDA?

Simply use smtp2go as your outgoing mail server and never worry about problems sending emails ever again. Setup takes only 2 minutes. Send from anywhere in the world — from home, the office, Los Angeles, or even Guatemala! Click here to learn more about SMTP2go.

What is my outgoing mail server?

Your outgoing mail server is used to send emails from your computer.  Depending on where your email account is hosted, you may or may not be able to use your email provider’s outgoing mail server.   Email addresses based on public email services such as Hotmail, Google, Yahoo, etc. will use their own outgoing mail servers.  If your email is hosted on your own website, you may want to use your hosting provider’s mail server.  For example, websites hosted on example.com may use mail.example.com as both their incoming and outgoing mail servers.

My outgoing mail server doesn’t work!

Some ISP’s (Internet Service Providers) will not allow you to make use of your own outgoing mail server.  In this situation, you’ll need to use your ISP’s outgoing mail server.  Find the name of your ISP and use the chart below to find your outgoing mail server.

If you are intent on using your own site’s mail server, you may want to contact your ISP.  You can also try outgoing mail (SMTP) port number to 26 (default is 25), as some ISP’s will block port 25 because it is often used for spamming.

Getting Your SMTP Server to Work

The top things people miss when trying to setup their outgoing server are as follows:

  • Misspelling the outgoing server name (for example, typing smtp.gail.com instead of smtp.gmail.com).
  • Some server require outgoing authentication. There should be a box you can check to enable this (it will have your email client use your email address and password to authenticate any emails that you send).
  • Some setups require an SSL connection. If this is the case, your outgoing port will most likely change (from 25 or 26 to 465).
  • In most cases, you will not need SPA (Secure Password Authentication).

How to setup my email with my mail client?

We have two tutorials up, one for Outlook and one for Outlook Express, for those of you looking for detailed instructions on setting up your email:

We’ve also got tutorials on setting up your spam filter if your host is utilizing Spam Assassin as its spam filter:

But now, without further ado, here’s the list.

Is there an outgoing SMTP server with unlimited sending limit emails? Which site is that from the above list please clarify.

  • tony

Can I have an smtp login please.

    • http://www.asecurelife.com/ Kimberly Kurimski

You’ll have to be more specific Tony. Who is your Internet Service Provider and where are you located?

      • tony

Visafone is my cyber provider and my location is Nigeria.

        • http://www.asecurelife.com/ Kimberly Kurimski

I found this information while searching.

Many Nigerian Internet Service Providers block SMTP port by default. You have to contact them directly to get it enabled. You may be required to present:
          1. A request letter
          2. An international passport or drivers’ license
          3. A utility bill
          4. If a corporate institution, copy of your CAC certificate

          Hopefully this helps you.

  • Gene

Hi and thanks. I need the smtp server address for the IPOWER hosting service.

  • Jim

I live in Germany and just set up a Telecom account. I am a Mac user and the incoming email is working fine when I set it up, however, outgoing has something wrong. Emails sit in the Outbox for days and periodically go out (though rarely). I am unsure of the problem. I receive the following error when I use the Mail Connection Doctor to test connection: “Could not connect to this SMTP server. Check your network connection and that you have entered the correct information in the Account preferences.” Not sure if this is an ISP problem, Mac server issue, or something to do with the account settings for the SMTP on my Mac. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    • http://www.asecurelife.com/ Kimberly Kurimski

Is your outgoing set to hosting3.mytelecom.net.de?

  • John Roy

Good morning, I am in the UK and pay Streamline for my email/domain name. They have just been taken over by Fasthosts and I no longer have an outgoing mail server? Any ideas?
    Regards,
    John

    • http://www.asecurelife.com/ Kimberly Kurimski

I found this information that I hope you’ll find helpful.
Host Name: mail.yourdomainname.com, replace yourdomainname.com with your actual domain name.
Let me know if this works or not for you so I can help you out further!

  • Shivani

    Mail.gsrtc.in

What is the outgoing mail sever for it?

    • http://www.asecurelife.com/ Kimberly Kurimski

Sorry, I was unable to find the outgoing mail server. Perhaps one of our readers will be able to help you out.

  • DAVID JOHNSON

Please help me with AMS Modify Server Settings. Thank You,
    From David

    • http://www.asecurelife.com/ Kimberly Kurimski

Hi David, we’ve gotten asked about Atomic Mail Sender before and unfortunately we’ve always came up empty handed. We searched again for AMS and found no results. Hopefully one of our readers can chime in and help you out.

  • http://www.asecurelife.com/ Kimberly Kurimski

    Try outgoing.mhcable.com.

  • http://www.asecurelife.com/ Kimberly Kurimski

    Hi Danielle, try this smtp.vodafonemail.vodafone.es.

    • Danielle

Thanks, I will try this one.

  • Louisa Dunham

I’m from the UK but on holiday in Abu Dhabi but can’t pick up my sky/yahoo email. Can anyone help?
    Thanks, Lou

    • http://www.asecurelife.com/ Kimberly Kurimski

Hi Lou, have you tried pop.mail.yahoo.com or smtp.mail.yahoo.com?

  • Gregory Lee

Hi Kimberly, I have used the Verizon outgoing server for 3 email addresses on my Mac for some time and all was well until a few months ago. My verizon.net account is fine but Gmail has no POP or SMTP connection and hotmail has POP but no SMTP. I’m in southern CA and do not want to call ISP for support as it took several hours to set up originally. Can you help me?

    • http://www.asecurelife.com/ Kimberly Kurimski

Hi Gregory, sorry for the delay. I was gathering research online and from our team to help you out. Here’s what I came up with.
It sounds like either Verizon changed their SMTP address or they have placed restrictions so you have to change the ports/security level you’re connecting with. Here’s an example of Rackspace email port numbers for SSL: http://www.rackspace.com/apps/support/portal/1088. You could try those (port #’s are commonalities), and play around with different versions of the Verizon address, you might hit it by trial and error. But to know for sure you’ll have to contact them.

I am in Southwest Florida and I am sad to say our complex switched from Comcast to Summit Broadband. They could not figure out their outgoing mail server so I can not send any email

    • http://www.asecurelife.com/ Kimberly Kurimski

Hi Debra, here’s what I found. “If you have an e-mail account through Summit Broadband, use: mail.otcdsl.net for both pop3 (incoming) and smtp (outgoing) settings.”
      http://www.summit-broadband.com/index.php/support_faqs
      I hope this helps!

I understand that I need to use my ISP’s (ATT) SMTP server while on my desktop, but does this hold true for set up on my iPhone/iPad when I use them on different WiFi connections or over the air?

    • http://www.coverstorymedia.com/ Alex Schenker

Hi Alex, your SMTP server should stay the same regardless of the Wi-Fi network you are connected to (the two are independent of each other).

  • http://www.asecurelife.com/ Kimberly Kurimski

Wow, thanks for being so detailed in your response Brian! Hopefully this helps future readers. Sorry about the bum luck and hopefully you don’t forget to BCC yourself! 😉

  • http://www.asecurelife.com/ Kimberly Kurimski

    Have you tried these settings?
    inbound.att.net / 995
    outbound.att.net / 465

If these don’t work and nothing in our chart above works I’m not sure. I suggest calling AT&T for help.

    Thanks and good luck!

  • Brian B.

Dec. 3rd 2014. Hello Alex. I have a question about what my Outlook smtp outgoing mail server settings should be while visiting my daughter in Play Del Carmen, Mexico. Her ISP is Telmex and I’m using MS Office Office Professional Plus 2010 and Microsoft Outlook version 14.0.7128.5000 (32 bit). Based on your list of outgoing smtp settings I have changed mine from smtp.telus.net to smtp.prodigy.net.mx but I got a sending error message, I changed the outgoing port to 26 but that didn’t make any difference, and I also tried checking the box for “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication”, (when I am using my Telus ISP this box is un-checked), but none of the above changes allow me to send from my laptop using my Outlook e-mail. Can you help? Thanks in advance. Brian B from Vancouver Canada.

  • Leanne

Hi – can you please help me with an outgoing mail server for Tomizone?

    Many thanks Leanne

    • Kimberly

Hi Leanne, our team did a little research on Tomizone for you. Here’s what their site says, “Your email is sent without you having to change any settings on your device. Be aware though that some Internet Service Providers don’t allow sending or receiving from other networks that are not theirs. If you have a problem with email, either use your web mail or contact your email supplier or ISP for assistance.”

If you use your Tomizone for work email I would suggest talking with your supervisor or IT. Your Tomizone account should set up without an outgoing SMTP mail server. Please let me know if this doesn’t solve your problem. Thanks for reading!

Please send me the SMTP outgoing server for Arqiva used by Travelodge UK Hotels.

Hi Edric, thanks for reading and commenting! Arqiva’s site says, “If you need to send email from Outlook or other mail program, you will need to change your SMTP mail settings. This can be found in TOOLS email account view or change email settings. Here you can see the SMTP settings. You will need to contact the help desk on 0330 6601028 to obtain them as they are site specific.”

Again, thank you for reading and commenting!

I have always been confused about this whole thing. There were a few times I wanted to do things with my email, like connect it to Outlook or set up an email account that was linked to a web domain that I owned. However, it would always come down to SMTP issues and no matter how many tutorials I read, I could never figure out what in the world was going on with the stuff, so frustrating.

This article is helping me to gain a more complete understanding of what these things are and what it all means. I think now, I can go back and read about SMTP servers and understand how they function. That list you have is really extensive. I love the fact that you guys always do so much research. I really appreciate that. A lot of blogs will just cover the subject matter and then plug some product or another. You always give a detailed breakdown of why you think one product or service provides greater value to the customer. And when you provide such thorough reviews of so many various options, it’s hard to even consider your recommendations as biased.

What are the outgoing SMTP servers for WildBlue and Centurylink?

    • We Rock Your Web

According to the help documentation we found, the smtp settings for Wildblue and Centurylink are as follows:

      *
WildBlue: smtp.gmail.com (use outgoing authentication & SSL (a secure, encrypted connection to your mail server) on port 465).
      *
CenturyLink: smtp.embarqmail.com (you can also try smtp.centurylink.net). You’ll also need to use outgoing authentication.

SPA (secure password authentication) should not be required for either.

    Outgoing server for medscape mail?

    • We Rock Your Web

To our knowledge Medscape only provides an incoming (POP) server, not an outgoing (SMTP) email server address. To send emails with your Medscape account, you’ll need to use the outgoing server provided by your ISP/ phone provider (see list above for AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, etc) or the smtp server from your Gmail account (also listed above). If you don’t have a gmail account, you can create one and use this for free to send your emails.

I am unable to send (even though I am able to receive) messages from my SiteMail account using my Droid. I am using smtp.[domain_name].com as the outgoing server and do not receive a login error notice. Not sure port is the issue, but currently configured for port 26. Any help would be appreciated.

    • Web Rocker

As far as I understand it, SiteMail is an email application by Hostway. You would need to contact Hostway (your hosting provider) and find out what email address and port to use as your outgoing/ smtp mail server. Since you’re on a Droid, I’m assuming you also have a phone plan with a telecommunications company such as AT&T or Verizon. If you can’t get your own server to send email, you could always use that of your telecommunications provider (browse the list above for the corresponding outgoing mail server addresses).

' , After receiving confirmation message, text 'POPSER[space]

[space]'. After receiving successful configuration message, if you wish to change the default ports, text 'POPPORT[space]

      [space]' to 33396

Sounds super confusing but worth a shot!

The new SMTP server for Homestead Technologies and Intuit Websites should be smtp.homesteadmail.com Using smtp.yourdomain.com will give an error.

    • Web Rocker

Thanks for the heads up! We’ve updated the article to reflect this.

Thanks for an excellent resource page – very useful it seems – except when you have a Lineone.net email account, who were then brought by Tiscali and now owned by TalkTalk.

To make it worse, my ISP is Virgin Media.

[email protected] works on inbound perfectly – I can read new emails until the batteries run dry and all the oil in the world has been exhausted in the process of recharging said batteries (I am slightly green 😉

However – [email protected] refuses to send emails… as does [email protected], as does TalkTalk, and so does Virgin Media!

    Any suggestions?

ps – ports set at defauls 143/25 – SPA turned off.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

My Way outgoing mail server – can you please find it for me? Thanks.

    • Web Rocker

If you’re referencing myway.com it looks like you need to use your ISP’s (Internet Service Provider) mail server (according to the help section on their website). In other words, ask your Internet provider for the “outgoing email server address” you should use as it appears MyWay.com doesn’t actually host email themselves.

I cannot find what my SMTP server should be. My company is using HiWAAY.net. I have webmail.cloudopscenter.net already, but I’m unsure if that’s correct, or if the port is incorrect?

    • Web Rocker

From what we can tell, the HiWAAY.net smtp (outgoing) server is mail.hiwaay.net.

I suggest you add the outgoing e-mail server address for Telstra, Australia’s biggest Telecom. It is mail.bigpond.com.

Could you please find the outgoing mail server name for T-Mobile/broadband? Thanks

    • Web Rocker

For most T-mobile phones you’ll need to find out from your ISP (Internet Service Provider) what your outgoing mail server is. If you’re subscribed to T-Mobile Internet, you can try myemail.t-mobile.com.

I have made a program with which you can send an email from any address (1) to any other address (2). You don’t need to know the password of the address (1). But you can use his/her account. I would charge to sell that code. Contact me here only if you need that code.

    • Anonymous

Are you joking? Anyone with any PHP knowledge can spoof an email address – that is, make it look like the email came from any sender you specify. And as for part 2) of your ingenius code, anyone that’s used email knows how to send an email to someone! Please don’t insult our intelligence on this board, or waste our time with your little money making schemes.

Can you please send me the SMTP server name for Airtel?

    Regards

    Smile

    • We Rock Your Web

First we should point out that Airtel outgoing mail is a paid service. It won’t work if you haven’t signed up for it. There are several server addresses you can try:

      * mail.airtelmail.in and mail.airtelbroadband.in for both ingoing and outgoing mail
      * smtp.airtelbroadband.in, smtpin.airtelbroadband.in, or smtp.ncr.airtelbroadband.in for outgoing.

Let us know which, if any of these, worked for you. Good luck!

Thanks for this list. It must be difficult keeping up with the ISP’s and their ever-changing SMTP servers. Why on earth would you change an SMTP server address when you have millions of people relying on that address for their email sending? It’s like having the postal service every now and then take your mailbox away. Actually – its’ more like having them simply not pick up your mail, since you wouldn’t be aware of the fact that it’s not going out!!

Ahh, how about we all just go back to Pony Express days :)

How about if you are in the Midwest or Southwest. Cox says use pop.east.cox.net; BUT IT DOES NOT WORK WITH THE I-PHONE! Anyone have a suggestion? I will try “west” but bet that does not work either.

Or maybe you could offer the option for people to add SMTP servers they use but are not already on this list. Then you guys wouldn’t have as much updating to do…just a thought.

Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this blog. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s challenging to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appearance. I must say that you’ve done a great job with this. Also, the blog loads very quick for me on Opera. Excellent Blog!

      Hi there,

From what we can tell, if you’re on the east coast, use pop.east.cox.net for incoming (receiving) mail, and pop.west.cox.net if you’re on the west coast. For outgoing (sending) mail, use either smtp.east.cox.net or smtp.west.cox.net.

Let us know how it goes!
